How would Peter have felt at the news that he would deny his leader and savior? Peter had devoted over 3 years to Jesus’s ministry and had even been told of his future role. Here Jesus seems to challenge Peter’s fidelity and courage. With our 20/20 hindsight we learned that Peter’s fall would be necessary to learn to follow God’s plan and rely on God’s wisdom and power, not on his own strength and instincts.
