How often did individuals presume to know what the scriptures meant and the priorities of God? Here we see both the pharisees and Jesus’s own disciples doing this but for different reasons. In both cases Jesus goes to the heart of the matter and His Father’s preference. For both the Pharisees and the disciples, the nature of man was prioritized over God’s original intent.
