Psalm: 97

Meditation: 1 Cor
How can one of the holiest activities bring a curse on those that take it lightly or use it to show their status over others? One theme of The New Testament is why you do something can be more important than what you do. The damage done in the Corinthian church by callousness or vanity of its members caused Paul to warn some of God’s wrath upon those that mock or take him and his blessings for granted.

Gospel:
Mark 8:1-10

New Testament:
1 Cor 11:17-34

Old Testament:
Gen 49:29-50:14
