How often in scripture do we see the theme of someone that God prepares for a greater work or role by allowing them to be humbled by their circumstances or failure? Moses attempts to help the weak through his own strength and must flee Egypt. Moses then spends 40 years in the desert until God calls him to return and deliver his people. God reveals to Moses his plan and tells him the name that God will be called by.
