Psalm: 72

Meditation: Mark
Have you ever planted a garden? 2000 years ago the process was different. A farmer would go out and  broadcast seed all around. The ground was then plowed to cover the seed with dirt. The farmer then knew the conditions of the soil but it might be too late to save the plants. Jesus uses this as a metaphor to explain the spreading of God’s word and the response of those hearing the message. We can only hope to have had a 30, 60 or 100 fold yield.

Gospel: Mark 4:1-20

New Testament:
1 Cor 5:9-6:8

Old Testament:
Gen 42: 18-28
