What was the role or purpose of the ministry of John the Baptist? Why do we need to know what he wore or ate? What was the purpose of a water baptism and why did John say it was not as good as the one to come? Why did Jesus come to be baptized and what was the response from heaven? Why did Christians that had been baptized by John need to be rebaptized ?
