The irony and cruelty in the stories of this family are truly amazing. Jacob had killed and shed the blood of a goat to deceive his father. Jacob also had been tricked by the blood of a goat on Joseph’s coat. God uses the greed and Jealousy of the brothers to keep Joseph safe. Reuben returns to find Joseph gone and feels responsible. The brothers will watch their father suffer until they are reunited with Joseph in Egypt.
