Psalm: 95

Meditation: 1 Cor
Why would Paul use the terms defile or temple to describe the condition or body of a Christian? How could a temple be defiled in the ancient world and what was the penalty? Paul returns to a more direct discussion of the difference between human and divine wisdom and the futility of boasting in the things of this world. Can you see similarities between the Corinthian church and maybe today’s society and/or churches?

Gospel:
Mark 2:13-22

New Testament:
1 Cor 3:16-23

Old Testament:
Gen 40:1-23
