Psalm: 119:97-120

God will have favor on whom he chooses. God had told Rebekah that Esau would serve his brother. God’s favor would pass from Abram, to Issac, to Jacob and through his descendants. Favoritism would result in the worst character coming out in each family member. God would intercede many times in the lives of these brothers, even warning Esau many years later not to harm Jacob.
