Meditation: John
There is an old saying that the truth will set you free. Here the Jewish leaders state that this crowd, that doesn’t know God’s law, is accursed. How ironic that this group so versed in scripture could completely misunderstand the meanings of so many passages, especially the prophetic ones. We must be careful today not to make the same mistakes. Are we reading our own likes and dislikes into what the writers of the Old and New Testaments wrote?
