What is liberty? What is Christian Liberty? In our country, or those like us, we look at that word as freedom. Examples would be speech, religion, movement. At the time of this passage and in autocratic societies, liberty could mean freedom from servitude and compulsion.  Here we learn that the gift of the spirit gives Christians the freedom to walk in the spirit and not be compelled by the flesh but by love.
