Even the righteous can fall into sins of their own doing. Noah’s partaking of too much wine from his new vineyard results in his drunkenness and nakedness. His son Ham sees this and tells the others. Noah’s other son’s respect and cover their father. Later Noah blesses the covering son’s descendants. Like Cain’s descendants, Ham’s descendants are cursed and will grow worse as generations pass.
