Meditation: John
As we have seen in our meditations recently, first century Judaism was full of different views of the roles of the messiah or the prophet that was to come before the messiah. We see this aspect of human nature today as denominations try to plug different people or events into their endtime expectations. Both John and Jesus answered these questions truthfully or not at all, but their answers were not accepted because of the hearer’s preconceptions.
