Psalm: 1

Meditation: Gen
In this passage we see an example of God’s early provision for mankind. The first garden was a place of abundant food, peace and direct fellowship with God himself. Continued faith and obedience were the only requirements placed on mankind to remain in this paradise. Adam’s life was one of tending this garden, not of idleness. Some have translated the Hebrew word as guarding, not tending but this is problematic as  who would he be guarding it from?
