Part of this passage sparks discussions of which parts of scripture, if any, were for the times that the scriptures were written? There are directives on family life and life/work relationships. Christians should live lives of prayer and thanksgiving. Instead Christians should ask God to open doors and to be persuasive in presenting Christ to others while walking in wisdom.
