Meditation: Amos
The Lord desires righteousness in others like His own. In prophecy, the term ‘day of the Lord’ can refer to individual judgements or the final judgement (end of time).  This passage infers that not all that seek this day will be happy with their role or result. How many times did the Lord ask His people for their hearts, souls, and minds? Did repeated rejections by God ever turn them away from their sin.
