Psalm: 87

Meditation: Esther
Like many rich and famous people in history, this Persian king liked to show off his wealth and possessions. After many days of partying and too much wine, the king calls for his most important and beautiful possession, the Queen Vashti to be brought before him and his guests. Her refusal to appear infuriated the king. She was banished forever and he sought to replace her.
