Psalm: 93

Meditation: Ezra
The children of Israel, the priests, Levites and kings had been prohibited from taking foriegn pagan spouses. This was due to the fact that foreigners worshiped their own gods and led God’s people and future children astray. This does not refer to proselytes, pagan converts to Judaism like Rahab and Ruth that believed and followed God. The terms used indicate that these unions were not legal.
