Meditation: Ezra
The rebuilding of the city, the temple and the walls of Jerusalem did not go unopposed by neighboring governors and leaders. Politics then and today change from time to time. By exaggeration and fear mongering, these neighbors were given permission by the King to stop progress on rebuilding the city’s walls by the Jewish people that had returned to Jerusalem.
