Jesus formed his band of disciples with men from very different professions and political viewpoints. How do you think Matthew interacted with the zealots, who might have been committed to eliminating publicians or Roman collaborators. These men spent 3 ½ years under Jesus’ instruction and mentorship. Can you imagine these men dining together?
