Psalm: 83

Meditation: 2 Kings

In this passage earlier prophesies against Ahab and his family are coming true, in both locations and events foretold. Elisha sends a servant to anoint Jehu the next King of Israel in a way that prompts Jehu’s followers to proclaim him king. Like many passages, we ask what is God telling us here? What is God’s plan for Israel?
