How many miracles are in this short passage? Here God shows His knowledge and command over nature, creatures, matter, sickness and life itself. Elijah’s presence and words are a witness to Israel and other lands of the power of the one true God and His ability to sustain those that follow and serve Him. Elijah would continue to challenge King Ahab and his wife for years, standing against them, their false god Baal.
