Psalm: 119:145-176

How can the love of a parent be so blinding? King David sat at the gate hoping for two outcomes: 1. That his forces would prevail in battle 2. That his son Absalom would survive.  He hears that the rebellious forces were vanquished but is overcome with grief at the news that his son, Absalom, did not survive.
