Psalm: 106:1-18

Meditation: Mark
The interactions that Jesus had with the fig tree, the temple and those that conducted business there show parallels to the book of  Jeremiah from hundreds of years before. Both the fig tree and the temple were existing just for show and would dry up from the roots. This was a metaphor for the utter destruction that would come later.  Both would be burned, one for fuel, the other as an example.

Gospel:
Mark 11:12-26

New Testament:
Acts 22:30-23:11

Old Testament
2 Sam 17:24-18:8
