Meditation: 1 Samuel
David is on the run, having no provisions or weapons with him. Evading Saul’s soldiers and spies, he convinces a High Priest to provide him with Holy bread and a weapon. David then leaves Israel and goes to the Philistine stronghold of Gath, the home city of Goliath, where he feigns madness.
