Meditation: Luke
The death of Jesus was an unsettling time for Jerusalem. Darkness fell over the land, strange things happened in the Temple and a crucified man died in three hours instead of three to four days. The most miraculous of all might be the fact that the soldiers and all those who had come out to enjoy the entertainment of the execution were overcome with grief and remorse for what they had just witnessed.
