What happens when God lets people have, not what they need, but what they want even though He has told them that they do not need it? Saul looked the part of a future leader but all too soon would fail in following God’s commands. The Israelites would begin to suffer for their mistrust of God, for that is the root of the problem. If we don’t trust God, how are we to keep out of this trap?
