Meditation

Ezekiel: Here we read about the restoration of Israel. As the Jews currently are in a (or several) foreign land(s), the Lord tells Ezekiel to announce this good news to the exiles. Embedded in this passage is also the promise of regeneration: “I will give the one heart and put a new spirit within them; I will remove the heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.” (v. 19) This concept of regeneration is not new when Nicodemus pays Jesus that now famous nocturnal visit.
