Psalm: 90

Meditation

Luke: The demon-possessed boy. He was, undoubtedly, an innocent victim of some homeless demon. Without explanation as to why, it appears the disciples were unable to cast it out in Jesus’ Name. Jesus, Lord even over demons, cast out the demon but with exasperation. Jesus then tells these “faithless and perverse” people to “let these words sink into your ears: the Son of Man is going to be betrayed…” (v. 44) “But they do not understand this saying as it was concealed from them.” (v.45)

Gospel:

Luke 9:37-50

New Testament:

Hebrews 5:7-14

Old Testament:

Ezekiel 3:4-17
