Psalms: 91

Meditation

Ezekiel: Here Ezekiel begins with the “appearance of the likeness of the glory (the weight, or gravitas) of the Lord, rainbow and all.  Numerous times the Lord warns Ezekiel that the people of Israel are both rebellious and stubborn. He is then handed a scroll and told to eat it where it tasted sweet in his stomach. This imagery will show up later in Revelation 10. The scroll is the Word of God, and, as encouraged in Deuteronomy 8, of greater value than the very food we eat.

Gospel:

Luke 9:28-36

New Testament:

Hebrews 4:14—5:6

Old Testament:

Ezekiel 1:28—3:3
