Meditation

Luke: The country of the Gerasenes located on the eastern shore of the Sea of Galilee in the area known as “The Decapolis” or 10 Cities. This was a Gentile region. When Jesus steps on shore a demon-possessed man recognizes and immediately acknowledges Jesus as God’s Son. Silenced, Jesus then casts out the legion of demons (a legion numbering anywhere between 6,000 and 10,000 men) into a herd of swine. The former demoniac seeks to join Jesus Who then says something odd: No. Jesus wants him to proclaim the good news there where he lives.
