Meditation

Matthew: Here Matthew relates several parables of Jesus describing the kingdom of heaven. The first describes good seed and weeds. They both grow together – separation will come later. Accordingly, the kingdom of heaven may be thought to be here on earth. The other parables (seemingly earth-bound) also describe a permeation of sorts. Typically, leaven is a metaphor for sin, but in this case, leaven is used to describe this permeation.
