Psalms: 131,133,134

Meditation

Wisdom: All too often we don’t “see” the triumph of the righteous, it is the wicked, rather, whom we see thriving. Earlier this year many of us had read through the book of Job. We knew, long before Job did, that God regarded him as righteous. Satan, because he craves to be mean, then challenges God to wreak havoc on Job’s life. This He allowed leaving Job to ponder where he had gone wrong. He hadn’t, of course. Read Luke 2:46-55 to see how an unmarried young woman coped with finding herself pregnant.

Gospel:

Luke 6:27-38

New Testament:

Colossians 1:24—2:7

Old Testament:

Wisdom 4:16—5:8
