Jeremiah: These 8 verses discuss just how important “keeping the sabbath” is to God. This is not about “Sunday”!  The point here, as in Lent, is to take time away from the vicissitudes of life to relax and to focus on God (and His word). I doubt that if it were not important then it would not have been “written in stone” as it were. Sabbath itself means seven or seventh day.
