Jeremiah: This section of Jeremiah speaks of the relationship between the Jews and God. ‘“For as a belt is bound around a man’s waist, so I bound the whole house of Judah and the whole house of Israel to me,’ declares the LORD, ‘to be My people for My renown and praise and honor. But they would not. But they have not listened.” (v.11) All Jews thought they were “all set” but were they?
