Psalm: 135

Meditation

Hebrews: The recurring word of this passage is “Today”. C.S. Lewis in The Screwtape Letters reminds us that God is a God of “Today”. No one has the promise of tomorrow but what you do have is today. Jesus once spoke of the rich man who rebuilt barns to house all his worldly goods but his soul was required of him that very night. “Today, if you hear His voice do not harden your hearts.”

Gospel:

John 3:16-21

New Testament:

Hebrews 4:1-10

Old Testament:

Deut. 9:23—10:5
