Jonah: Jonah is a reluctant prophet. He did everything he could think of to avoid this calling from God to go to Nineveh. So, he ends up in the belly of a great fish and there “repents”. He is restored to the land, so the LORD came to Jonah “a second time”. Jonah goes off to Nineveh, evangelizes for a day (the city is “3 days wide”) and stops. The Ninevites repented, meanwhile Jonah is outside the city waiting for the sky to fall. That does not happen so Jonah pouts because God is gracious and relents.
