Psalms: 12, 13
Meditation
Deuteronomy: One of the first things Moses admonishes here is to remember. Years earlier shortly after the Jews had set out on their freedom journey, Moses’ had dispatched 12 spies to scope out the Promised Land. Ten of the 12 came back already defeated and dejected. This attitude affected all the people making them reluctant to take the land by force. They did not believe, nor did they remember the events in Egypt (but 2; Caleb & Joshua). Surely, God can’t defeat all the inhabitants of Canaan. That attitude cost them 40 years (remember, time means nothing to God).
