John: These are the last days of Epiphany (or Manifestation) so this passage from John is quite appropriate. Without apology, I tell you that this one passage, arguably, is the most significant in all of Scripture. If I were limited to but 18 verses of the Bible – these are the ones I would most desire. This passage shows up in the Lectionary 4 maybe 5 times throughout the year which lends to its importance in our lives.
