Psalms: 32, 95
Meditation
Titus: Titus was a close associate of Paul and Silas; Paul made him elder in the church in Crete. Titus’ task was daunting as he had to instruct and lead men older than himself; be respectful to the older women, who, in turn, would teach and encourage the younger ones. This is the same advice Paul gives to Timothy. As an elder (bishop), Titus was also to encourage slaves to be submissive to their masters. Add to this, he was to guide young men in self-control against such evils as fornication and debauchery.
