2 Corinthians: In Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians, (there was apparently an earlier letter to the Corinthians than “first” Corinthians – 1 Cor. 5:9), he was appalled at the practice of fornication, not to mention the business of a man cohabitating with his father’s wife. Paul was most strenuous in his reprimand of such behavior. I don’t know how much time elapsed between 1^st and 2^nd Corinthians, perhaps 2-4 years. Here Paul is exhorting the church of Corinth to recapture, reclaim, reconcile the errant one, to enfold him back into the Body.
