2 Corinthians: Very much in tune with yesterday’s look at the Sermon on the Mount – life, and everything in it is transitory – or as Solomon said, “All is vanity” (Ecclesiastes 1:2) “Our outer nature is wasting away…” (4:16). That is something that should be embraced, alas, most of us run from that reality. Paul speaks of the body (vv. 10-17) more as a means to an end – something to be used and viewed as to be at whatever service the Lord call us to.
