Meditation

1 Timothy: “Let no one despise your youth. (v. 12) That youth had to be a challenge as much as an opportunity. Timothy had to walk what must have felt like a tightrope. He had to be respectful of those older people and, at the same time, prove an example to the young. Paul must have had great confidence in him and may have regarded him as a real treasure. By the same token, Timothy must have thought that God smiled on him to provide him with such a mentor.
