Psalm: 137

Meditation

Isaiah: I didn’t have to get far into this passage to see parallels to today: “Truth is lacking and whoever turns from evil is despoiled” (plundered). (v. 15) “He saw that there was no one, and was appalled that there was no one to intervene.” (v. 16) It seems clear to me that God is looking for His people “to intervene.” (I am not sure exactly how.) Since that does not happen the LORD will take matters into His own hands. That also says a lot about us, His church.

Gospel:

Mark 10:1-16

New Testament:

2 Tim. 1:15—2:13

Old Testament:

Isaiah 59:15-21
