Mark: Surely the best way to create bad blood among colleagues might be just such a scenario as described here. Who is the greatest? Really? Once the Holy Spirit descends, the point Jesus is making – the paradox that the first be last and servant of all – becomes abundantly clear. Earlier, Jesus had told His disciples, again, that He was to be killed and that on the third day He would rise from the dead. These prophetic words of Jesus (for this is the 2^nd of 3 times He tells this to His disciples) were, for some unknown reason, kept hidden from His hearers.
