Galatians: Living by the Spirit and being guided by the Spirit (v. 25) sounds like Paul is addressing more mature Christians as opposed to recent converts. Continuing in chapter 6 Paul makes it clear that even the mature Christian must nurture his own life through the Scripture (v. 6) and to share (testify) so as to encourage younger believers. It is tragic to watch a young, or worse, a mature Christian wither on the vine for lack of nourishment. Starvation is a horrible way to die.
