Meditation

Mark: The Transfiguration. Unfortunately, in my estimation, not enough is said about this event nor its significance. First the mount – well that may represent Mount Sinai, and so as to buttress that notion, Jesus appears to be talking with Moses [the Law] and Elijah [the prophets] and in this scene Jesus is in the middle. In what may be but a week or two Jesus will be on another mount [Calvary] – also between two – this time 2 thieves.
