Psalm: 37
Meditation
Isaiah: is speaking here of lip service. There was a lot of lip service in Isaiah’s day – just as much today, so we can’t say we’ve improved much at all. Unfortunately, today, Christian lip service may manifest itself simply showing up for church any given Sunday, thinking that perhaps that will keep God happy. “Shall … the thing formed say to the one who formed it, ‘He has no understanding.’? (v. 16) The LORD gave His all to redeem us; He expects nothing less from us – our all. Interpret that as you like but … “you were bought with a price; therefore, glorify God in your body.” (1 Corinthians 6:20)
