Psalm: 49

Meditation

1 Thessalonians: A great passage wonderfully exposited by many Christians. From what I have gleaned over the decades is that most of us who may still be here when Jesus returns, believe they will not die but rather be transformed on the way to heaven. That transformation will include the death of the transformed. The reality is that everyone dies – no one escapes death (if it’s good enough for Jesus, it’s good enough for the rest of us). Paul tells us that “…this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality.” (1 Corinthians 15:33)

Gospel:

Luke 21:5-19

New Testament:

1 Thess. 4:13-18

Old Testament:

Isaiah 4:2-6
