Psalm: 25

Meditation

James: The only promise of time we are given is “today”. Yesterday is gone forever, probably shrouded in the midst of regret; tomorrow is not promised at all. (2 Cor. 6:2) “Thus says the LORD. In a time of favor I have answered you, on a day of salvation I have helped you…” (Is. 49:8) “See, now [i.e., today] is the acceptable time, now [i.e., today] is the day of salvation.” (2 Cor. 6:2) One can say this until he is blue in the face, and it may yield little. There is another maxim out there: “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink.” Use time wisely.
